Easy to send back. Simple, clear and considered.
The window
Unworn, unwashed items with original tags can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund to your original payment method.
How to start a return
Sign in to your account and open your order, or email contact@understatedclothing.co.uk with your order number. We'll reply within one business day with return instructions.
Return shipping
Return postage is the customer's responsibility unless the item is faulty.
Refund timing
Once your return is received and checked (usually within 2 business days of arrival) we'll refund to your original payment method. Banks typically clear the funds within 3–5 business days.
Exchanges
We don't process direct swaps — return the original for a refund and place a fresh order for the size or colour you want. It's faster and keeps stock accurate.
Faulty or incorrect items
If something arrives damaged or you received the wrong piece, email us within 7 days of delivery with a photo. We'll arrange a return at our cost and a replacement or full refund.
Non-returnable
For hygiene reasons, certain items may be non-returnable where clearly marked. Sale and archive items remain returnable unless otherwise stated.
